Work out your semester GPA from courses and credit hours, then combine semesters for your CGPA — on the 4.0 scale used by universities in Pakistan and abroad. Free, with no sign-up.

Pick a letter grade to fill in the points automatically, or type the grade points straight from your transcript — your university's own scale always wins. Course names are optional.
Note: the letter-grade shortcut uses a common 4.0-scale mapping (A/A+ = 4.00, A− = 3.67, B+ = 3.33 …), but grading scales differ between universities. When your transcript shows grade points, type those directly — they override everything.
GPA is a credit-weighted average: every course's grade points are multiplied by its credit hours (giving "quality points"), and the total is divided by the total credit hours.
GPA = Σ (Grade Points × Credit Hours) ÷ Σ Credit Hours
Worked example: Calculus is 3 credit hours with an A (4.00 × 3 = 12 quality points), Physics is 4 credit hours with a B+ (3.33 × 4 = 13.32), and English is 2 credit hours with a B (3.00 × 2 = 6). That's 31.32 quality points across 9 credit hours, so the semester GPA is 31.32 ÷ 9 = 3.48. Notice the weighting at work: the B+ in 4-credit Physics pulls the GPA more than the B in 2-credit English.
CGPA works exactly the same way, one level up — each semester's GPA is weighted by that semester's credit hours. That is why a simple average of your semester GPAs is usually slightly wrong: a 15-credit semester counts more than a 12-credit one. This calculator always uses the credit-weighted method, which is how universities compute the CGPA on your transcript.
The letter-grade shortcut follows the common 4.0-scale mapping: A+/A = 4.00, A− = 3.67, B+ = 3.33, B = 3.00, B− = 2.67, C+ = 2.33, C = 2.00, C− = 1.67, D+ = 1.33, D = 1.00 and F = 0. Individual universities publish their own scales — some award A+ above 4.00, others attach different points to the same letter — so when your transcript states grade points, type those in directly and ignore the dropdown.
