English for Professionals — Business & Workplace Communication

eTutors Academy English Faculty 8 weeks · 2 classes a week Starts 15th August 2026 Live Online

About This Course

You already know English. What holds you back at work is narrower than that: the phrase you needed in a meeting and could not find, the email that came out too blunt, the client call where you understood every word but could not steer the conversation. This course drills exactly those moments.

Who this course is for

  • Professionals working with international clients, managers or remote teams
  • Freelancers on Upwork or Fiverr who lose work at the discovery-call stage
  • Doctors, engineers, teachers and accountants moving into English-speaking workplaces
  • Candidates preparing for job interviews at multinationals or overseas employers
  • Anyone relocating to the UK, Gulf, Canada or Australia for work

You should already be able to hold a basic conversation. If you cannot yet, start with our spoken English course and come back to this one.

What you will be able to do by the end

  • Run and contribute to a meeting: open, interrupt politely, summarise, close
  • Write an email that is clear and warm without being long
  • Deliver a five minute presentation with slides and handle the questions after it
  • Take a client call with confidence, including the awkward parts about scope and price
  • Push back, disagree and say no in a way that keeps the relationship intact
  • Answer standard interview questions with structured, convincing answers

How the classes work

  • Live online classes on Zoom or Google Meet, built around role play rather than lectures
  • Bring your real emails, decks and job descriptions; the tutor works on those in class
  • Small professional groups, or one-on-one when your situation is specific
  • Early morning and late evening slots so classes fit around a working day
  • Scheduled in your own timezone, wherever you are based

What you need to join

  • A laptop with a camera, since a lot of the practice is on video calls
  • Headphones with a microphone
  • Willingness to be recorded occasionally, so you can hear your own progress

Common questions

Is this an IELTS course?

No. IELTS is an exam with its own scoring rules. This is workplace performance. If you need a band score for immigration or admission, ask us about IELTS preparation instead.

My accent is strong. Will that be a problem in interviews?

Clarity matters, accent does not. We work on the specific sounds and stress patterns that cause listeners to ask you to repeat yourself, and leave the rest of your accent alone.

I work full time. Can I keep up?

Two classes a week plus roughly 20 minutes of preparation. Most of the practice is built from work you were going to do anyway, like the emails already sitting in your inbox.

Can my company enrol a team?

Yes. Group sessions for a team of four or more can be arranged at a schedule that suits your office. Contact us with your headcount and preferred timings.

Our tutors work with students and professionals in 15+ countries. If you want a completely tailored programme for one specific goal, such as a single interview or a client pitch, request a tutor — the matching itself costs you nothing and you settle only the agreed lesson fee.

How It Works

  • All classes are conducted live online — interactive sessions, not pre-recorded videos.
  • Taught by a verified eTutors Academy tutor with a structured syllabus.
  • Certificate of completion awarded at the end of the course.
  • After you enroll, our team contacts you on WhatsApp to confirm your schedule.
