I am a Mathematics graduate and currently pursuing my MS in Data Science at FAST-NUCES Islamabad. With around two years of experience in home tuition, I have developed a practical understanding of how students learn, where they commonly struggle, and how to make difficult concepts easier to approach.
I believe good Mathematics teaching is not about memorizing formulas or following a solution mechanically. A student should understand why a method works and feel confident enough to apply it to a new problem. This is the approach I try to bring into every lesson.
I keep my teaching clear, patient, and structured, while allowing students to ask questions without hesitation. I adjust the pace and explanation according to the student's level rather than using the same approach for everyone.
My goal is to help students build a strong mathematical foundation, improve their problem-solving ability, and gradually become more confident and independent learners. I take the responsibility of teaching seriously and aim to make every lesson purposeful and worthwhile.
Teaching Experience
I have around two years of experience providing one-to-one home tuition in Mathematics. My experience has involved working closely with students on their regular coursework, assignments, difficult topics, revision, and examination preparation.
One-to-one teaching has taught me that students do not always struggle because a concept is inherently difficult; often, they simply need it explained in a way that matches how they understand. I therefore focus on identifying the specific point of difficulty and breaking the topic down into manageable steps.
Alongside explaining concepts, I use worked examples and targeted practice to check understanding and identify gaps. I also encourage students to explain their reasoning, rather than simply reproduce a memorized solution.
This experience has helped me develop a patient and adaptable teaching style, with an emphasis on conceptual clarity, regular practice, and steady improvement.
