Salaam! I'm Maria, a dedicated Primary & Lower Secondary Educator with over 6 years of experience teaching the British Curriculum to students from Year 1 to Year 8 through personalized one-to-one instruction. I believe every child has unique strengths, and my goal is to help them learn with confidence, curiosity, and enjoyment.
I teach English, Mathematics, Science, Geography, History, Social Studies, Islamic Studies, and Qur'an Studies using engaging, interactive lessons tailored to each student's learning style. Whether your child needs extra support, homework help, exam preparation, or wants to stay ahead, I create a positive and encouraging environment where they can thrive.
One of my proudest achievements has been preparing homeschooled learners for formal education, where they successfully transitioned into school and achieved 1st Position in their academic terms. I also incorporate educational technology such as Google Classroom, IXL, Anton, EdPlace, Canva, Kahoot!, and Quizizz to make lessons both effective and enjoyable.
If you're looking for a patient, supportive, and committed tutor who genuinely cares about your child's progress and success, I'd be delighted to help them achieve their academic goals while developing a lifelong love of learning.
Teaching Experience
For over 6 years, I have worked as an Independent Homeschool Educator, providing full-time one-to-one instruction following the British Curriculum. I have taught students from Year 1 to Year 8 across English, Mathematics, Science, Geography, History, Social Studies, Islamic Studies, and Qur'an Studies. I planned lessons, created learning resources, assessed progress, and adapted my teaching to each student's individual needs. My students successfully transitioned into formal schooling with strong academic foundations, and both achieved 1st Position in their respective academic terms. Over the past six years, I have focused on building confidence, critical thinking, and a genuine love for learning while maintaining regular communication with parents to support each student's progress.
