About Myself

By way of introduction, my name is Shanila Bano and I’m from Pakistan. In 2017, I completed my BS (hons) in Life Sciences. My strong determination to success has led me to excel in my classes and I received an Award Laptop by PMLS (Prime Minister Laptop Scheme) on merit. In addition, I am one of the youngest researchers in Pakistan. Moreover, I have received a fully funded scholarship for the MS program abroad. In 2017, following completion of my education, I started my career as a visiting lecturer of Biology at college in my hometown. My responsibilities were preparing lessons and planners, conducting lab work, projects and practical's, assessing quizzes and assignments. I not only emphasized the basic definition of science but also helped students to lay foundation on vast concepts like genetics, cell and molecular biology, and anatomy, ecology, to evolution. My passion for teaching and activity-based lessons ensured building confidence and knowledge among students. I also taught other subjects such as English, Chemistry, Urdu, Islamiat, Mathematics, and Social Studies at primary and secondary levels. Within a year, due to dedication and hard work, I received the best teacher award and was directly promoted to principal. At the administrative level, I was responsible for designing and implementing curriculum, conducting workshops for teachers, and maintaining discipline at the Institute. With principalship, I got admission to B.ED. It is a professional degree program that provides prospective teachers with skills in teaching methodologies, classroom management, and understanding diverse learners. This program enhanced my expertise, enabling me to provide quality education and lead educational institutions effectively. By nature, I am friendly, extroverted and a bit of an adventurous person who loves visiting and meeting new people and environments. Summing up, I have seven years of teaching and one year of administrative responsibilities, International publication, MS Scholarship holder, highly motivated and ambitious.
