About Myself
Dr. Anam Farzand is a skilled professional with expertise in laboratory work, clinical testing, and molecular biology research. She attained her Bachelor's in Medical Laboratory Technology(MLT) from the University of Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan. She earned a Gold Medal in her DHMS( Doctor of Homeopathic Medical Sciences) from the Hussain Memorial Medical College, Lahore. Followed by a Master's degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Lahore, Lahore, Pakistan, and currently a Ph.D. scholar from Universiti Sultan Zain Al Abidin, Malaysia. Her research portfolio encompasses diverse areas of health concern with clear implications for improving health outcomes. Her research related to advances in molecular biology, medical laboratory sciences, and microbiology through understanding antimicrobial resistance and exploring therapeutic solutions has substantial merit and national importance. Among other applications, her research is relevant to microbiology, molecular biology, cancer biology, obesity, and genetics. Her PhD research work focused on obesity and genetics. She demonstrated excellent proficiency in conducting various clinical tests, including microbiological, molecular, chemical, cytopathological, and hematological tests. She has worked in several teaching hospitals in Lahore as a medical laboratory technologist. Previously, she worked as a lecturer at Superior University, Lahore, for three years. She is also a visiting faculty member of the Shaikha Fatima Institute of Nursing and Health Sciences, Lahore, Pakistan. She has conducted and participated in several field-related workshops and seminars. She has published 19+ articles related to the field. She is also a member of several other national and international organizations, including APID (Academic publishing and information database) ( APID ID:2667), A.S.M.
